This is a popular meet and one we have attended previously. For the swimmers aged 10 and over, if offers the chance of 50m races in all strokes plus a 200m IM. For swimmers of 8 and 9 years old, there is a also a separate event including 50m freestyle plus 25m (for 8 year olds) or 50m events (for 9 year olds) in all three remaining strokes (BC, BRS and Fly) plus a 100m IM.
Entrants for this meet should include swimmers from the groups, Red 2, Green 1, Skill Development and Swim Development. If you are in the Swim Development squad please contact Holly Payne before you complete your entry form to ensure suitability for entry.
For swimmers in Red 1 and Green 1, if they are deemed to be capable of meeting the County Times for the 800m event, and it is considered necessary as part of their development, should enter the County distance event; this is all the Red 1 swimmers. There is a list of swimmers expected to enter the County 800s posted. Entries for the Newport for swimmers on this list will not be accepted without consultation with the Head Coach.
