Well done to Ross Britton, Bethan Tomlinson, Rebecca Robinson, Charlotte Bragg, Maddie Hopkinson-Buss and Alice Constable who competed at the South West Region Youth Championships over the Bank Holiday weekend. Good swims were had by all, but against the high standard competition from across the Region makes it very hard to make finals or gain medals.
Beccy, Charlotte and Maddie swam LC PBs and Alice was competing as a 13 year old time trialist for experience against the older swimmers. Her chance will come in June at the Age Group Championships.
Bethan and Ross put out the strongest performances with Bethan making the 200IM and 50 Freestyle finals and getting the Long Course National time in the 50 Freestyle. Ross swam very well in the 50 freestyle heats and just missed out on the 50 Freestyle final finishing in 10th place in the Open category.
