Southwold had strong performances across the age groups at the South West Relay Championships held at Millfield on 16th May. We had teams in most age groups, all made finals and we picked up a number of place medals. Of particular note was the 13/14 year girls team of Bethan Tomlinson, Alice Constable, Maddie Hopkinson Buss and Rebecca Robinson who picked up Gold medals in both their events. The 11/12 year boys team of Peter Rogers, Jack Instrall, Ryan Bates and George Boulton won the Gold in the freestyle and bronze in the medley event. The 17+ mens team of Steven van der Park, Ashley Case, Andrew Lane and Ross Britton raced well against the city of Bristol just being edged out on the touch in the freestyle relay but given the same time; they picked up 2 silver medals. Well done to you all a great team performance.
