Club Championship Gala Details |

The Championships will be spread over 4 nights to minimize loss of training time. Details of the events taking place each night will be posted on the Notice Board with entry forms. All members of the club are encouraged to take part in at least one race. Medals and Trophies are presented to winners and competitors at one of the club's social evenings after the galas This will take place just after the Christmas break. If this is your first gala, have a look at “How galas are run” for useful guidance on how to prepare for a gala and what happens during the gala, as it can be quite confusing the first time you compete. |

Note: The entry “#” means “Event Number” so #4 means event number 4 “NT “ means “No Time” was available for this event in the Hy-Tek results database prior to the Club Championships ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Southwold Club Championships - Saturday and Sunday 3rd & 4th November “Thank you” to everyone who took part - it was again a great atmosphere at the poolside and there were some outstanding swims, very close races (the touch judges had their work cut out!) and a large number of excellent PBs.

Results of Session 2 - Sunday 28th October can be found HERE ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Southwold Club Championships - Sunday 14th October A big “THANK YOU” to everyone who took part on Sunday to create such an excellent atmosphere. It was really gratifying to see so many new competitors and parents - we had around 20% more entries this year making it the most popular gala in many years. For those parents for whom this is their first Club Championships there will be a presentation evening with a disco to follow in early January.

Club records broken at Session 1 can be downloaded HERE --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Club Championships presentation evening A huge “Thank You” to everyone who took part in the presentation evening. This was the biggest turn out in many years and it is clear from the photos that it was a very enjoyable night. This was the first time that we have ventured from the Leisure Centre so apologies for any “teething problems”. The Committee would like to especially thank Giles and Sue Evans who organised the event, and Richard and Tammy Tomlinson who had to collect in over 70 cups and shields and then make sure that they were presented (along with over 200 medals) to the right winners! Thanks also to Nick Hopkinson-Buss for organising the quiz. Could winners please hand in your cups and shields over the next couple of months into MEREDITHS in Yate Town Centre who will engrave your name on the trophy for free.
