Cotswold Series Round 3 - Saturday 10th March

As expected, this was an exciting gala but with both Cheltenham and Lydney being able to put out their strongest possible teams, this proved to be a very tough gala indeed, with Southwold eventually coming in last behind a much improved Clevedon squad, despite a number of our swimmers producing Personal Best performances.

Final result was:

Cheltenham - 165

Lydney  - 131

Clevedon  - 122

Southwold - 98

“Well Done” to everyone that took part. Detailed results can be found HERE.

Cotswold Series Round 2 Saturday 10th February

“Well Done” to everyone involved.

Final results were:

Backwell - 144

Norton Radstock - 137

Frome - 120

Southwold - 116

Our team was unfortunately rather weakened by the unavailability of some swimmers and a little sickness in others.

Even though we finished in 4th place, there were many very good swims with a 67% of individual swims as PBs. Ben Hutchings(17) got PBs on 100IM and 100 Breaststroke and some other swims worthy of special mention were:

Ashley Evans(15) 100 Fly 1:10.81 (2.8 sec PB)

Alice Constable(10) 50 Back 39.63 (3.11 sec PB)

Claire Buckland(13) 100 Breast 1:30.28 (3.22 sec PB)

And of course the Ladies open relay team (Holly Payne, Jenny Constable, Kirsty Jenkins, Dani Nicholls) with their 2 first places.
