Bryanston Swim Camp Our Bryanston Swimmers had a fantastic time. Both Jacob and Luke got to meet Alex Scotcher who coached them freestyle over two days. Alex Scotcher was a Commonwealth Gold Medallist in 2006. Jacob won a special award as top boy for his swimming group (see picture). Both Jacob and Luke looked tired at the end of the week, but this maybe down to the two hours of squash they played each night and the disco finale. The great facilities at Bryanston School proved a hit with both boys."
Bryanston 2008 Swimming Training Course - 27th Year10-16 August 2008 - Bryanston School, Blandford Forum, Dorset This ASA SW Region School of Swimming Development course is targeted at the ‘skill development’ club swimmers who compete in county events but are not necessarily finalists in district events. Places are available for 11 year and over as at 31 December 2008 (No upper age limit) with emphasis on the 13 plus swimmers. The older swimmers are encouraged to apply. Special attention to core technique in the 4 strokes, IM & start/turns Course Fees: Each Family - £245 (1st child) £235 (2nd child) £225 (3rd/4th /etc child) Application form can be found HERE -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Plymouth Swim Development Camp Six Southwold swimmers participated in a swim development camp at Plymouth College over the Christmas break. The Southwold tourists were: Eleanor Aris Jacob Graham Jessica Graham Naomi McCoubrie Charlotte Moore Peter Rogers The residential camp was from 28th Dec – 30th Dec. The swimmers participated in pool and land training under the guidance of John Rudd and Amanda Booth (Plymouth Leander). All appeared to have had a great time and we look forward to seeing their improvements maintained in training.
