Cotswold Series Finals Gala- Saturday 10th May The final CONFIRMED table of positions is attached HERE.
We are in 7th place and therefore in the "A" Final at Hutton Moor. Provided we can field our strongest team and swim to our potential in the final, then a top 3 place is a real possibility.
The “A” Final teams and their designated lanes are:
L1= Southwold L2= Clevedon L3= Cinderford L4= Bristol Henleaze L5= Bridgwater L6= Cheltenham L7= Wells and Shepton Mallet L8= Cirencester
Please arrange to be at Hutton Moor pool by 5:45pm
Doors open at 6pm and the gala should finish by 9:30pm.
“Good Luck” everyone - this should be a very close competition! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Southern Junior League Round 2 - 17th May The results for round 1 have now been finalised and Southwold is in 7th position — a terrific achievement! Round 2 will be at Littledown Leisure Centre (Bournemouth) so we WILL be organising a coach for this gala.
Please tick off your names off the team list and also tick off your names from the coach list on the notice board. Please take and fill in an “Information Form”. You can download a copy HERE
We will be competing against some of the strongest teams in the competition so be prepared for a very tough gala!
2. Round 2 Draw
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- SWR Youth Championships - 3rd - 5th May 2008 We had 3 swimmers at this year's SWR Youth Championships. Kirsty Jenkins (17) in the 100 Back, Ashley Case (16) in the 100 Back, 100 Breast, 50 Breast and 50 Free and Steven Van der Park (16) in the 50 Free, 50 Back, 100 Free and 100 Back. All swam exceptionally well against the might of the SW top swimmers. Ashley and Steven both qualified for finals with the highlight of Ashley winning the Silver medal in the 50 Breast. Ashley also came 5th in the 100 Breast with Steven ending up 4th in the 50 Back and 5th in the 50 Free.
